EFCC Prayer Focus

Stony Stratford Evangelical Church, Bedfordshire We will be taking part in a community event called Stony Words which runs for two weeks at various venues around the town. This year we will be running an event called “Four Famous English Hymns: their Background and Why we Love Them!” at 7-30 pm. We’re taking a look at the hymns of John Newton, John Bunyan, William Cowper and Augustus Toplady. The Hymns included are: Amazing Grace, He who would Valiant be, There is a Fountain filled with Blood and Rock of Ages. Please pray this would capture people’s imagination and it would be a useful and simple introduction to the wonderful theology we see in these hymns.

Please pray with us for a strong unity of gospel purpose and fellowship at our church member’s meeting this evening, mainly as we hear more about our mission week in February. Pray that we will all of us be kept fresh in the strength and joy of the Lord in our daily walk, and trust Him in faith to bless these initiatives to spread the good news.
